According to the NY Post today, "the FBI yesterday arrested a former Solomon Smith Barney manager on charges of demanding kickbacks on printing contracts."
The article goes on to say:
Federal prosecutors said that in early 2000, Solomon Manager Maria Shaw told a printer that did business with the firm that she would double his contract to $2 million if he would give her 5 percent - about $100,000
Shaw who was manager of Solomon's graphics department, allegedly insisted he [the printer] make a $10,000 payment on a home equity loan for her Staten Island house ... the printer also paid about $7,000 in personal credit-card bills, a federal complaint says.
I hope this leads to Solomon outsourcing their Word Processing and Graphics Centers. I am soooooo ***king tired of these Adecco loons who currently seem to have the contract to supply temps to Solomon.
