Don't assume that because someone is working for a very famous company that that person is sane, that that person knows anything about law, or that that person has any sense whatsoever of what is proper and reasonable in a business environment. There are some seriously fucked up people out there working for famous companies who are capable of anything.

If you are in a situation and you even get a hint that things might get out of hand, LEAVE. It is much better to lose a temp assignment and lose a temp agency than it would be to end up in jail because some nut job called the police on you. The safest way to leave would be to call your agency and say that you are sick, but if there is not enough time for this, just leave, don't even ask anyone to sign any time sheet, just leave.
